Fine Artist in Texas - Painter and Instructor
Katherine Baronet was born in Richmond, VA. After a 20 year career as a fashion model, which took her to many countries in Europe and Japan, she went on to complete her Bachelor Degree in Communications Arts from East Texas A&M in Commerce in 1995. After graduating from college, Baronet worked as a graphic designer and art director for Neiman Marcus and David Carter Design Studio while painting in her own studio. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries, group and solo art shows over the past 30 years. Her paintings are in both private and corporate collections, including the Hilton Anatole Hotel and Children’s Hospital in Dallas and throughout the United States.
For five years she worked in the Healing Arts as the Artist-in-Residence at Methodist Richardson Cancer Center, and working on a new series of large graphite drawings.
Baronet was selected to be in Craighead Green Gallery’s New Texas Talent show. She recently completed a large chalk drawing for the restaurant Lark on the Park next to Klyde Warren Park in Downtown Dallas. Click the video link below to see Katherine’s process to complete the drawing.
