Lavender Thistle

The stunning image of a Eryngium Planum (White Glitter) was photographed during my 2018 trip to beautiful British Columbia in a garden where we went for high tea. We spent hours looking around the grounds and this tall plant loaded with blooms caught my eye. It looked as if it were dried but the center of the bloom was green; it was very much alive and super prickly.

“Lavender Thistle” is the latest of my ongoing over-sized series that I call Botanicals. They are glorious, magical and I think show Mother Nature’s perfection.
